Hi all. Quick question.
Does $250 for an exchange reco starter motor seem too high (for a red 308)?

try covs.sometimes their prices can be really good.i picked up a new alternator from them for a vq 5litre for under $200 a while back. next cheapest was around $240 for a recon one.

was down at autopro today and asked them they can do new hi torque bosche for about $340, probably can shave that a bit. personally i would go new recon ones usually only have 3 moth warranty one thing you don't really need is having to pull starter motors a pita also the recon one is probably not hi torque.
otherwise you can pick up second hand ones for 50 or 60 bucks but you are taking a chance with them
