anyone watch the 12 hour on sunday.
what did you think?
i just could not get involved, gave up and went off to watch grass grow.
to me does not have the interest of the holden ford competition.
i know they are not street cars but what chance do i have of ever owning a ferrari or lambo?
like polo and big yachting, sports for the wealthy.

I was the opposite. V8 Supercars is a boring procession, cars are too equal. I don't even watch it anymore as you might as well watch pit-stop competitions. The end of the 12 hour was fantastic. One car faster across the top, the chase car faster on the straights. Reminded me of the whales vs Torana days!

If we all had the same (good) taste, who would buy all the Fords?

Have to agree i was asked to go down this year but i had a look and only one GT was running in it, forget it ! i said.

If they ran like back in the 60's type of thing with real holdens and fords i would be down there like a shot !

It's a disgrace to see the true blue aussie sport destroyed by all the wealthy USA type of stuck uppity snob racing.

You could have watched the Fiat 500's circulate John. They were pretty exciting.

But they do run production racing at Bathurst, every Easter. No one goes cause the Holdens and Fords do not even come close against the Asian cars.

Some might remember the VE sportwagon that ran around there just before it release. Did not fair to well, but looked good in the JD colours.
