can some one give me the run down on the paint in the engine bay of the first lot of HK GTS Monaro
was the paint ,, flat , matt , low sheen , gloss???
was the under bonnet the same colour as the car or warrigal Black
was the under side of the boot lid as above ???
Also was the stripe paint scheme always the same from the very early release vehicles??
I note on some promotional material the stipes do not appear?/

Under bonnet was supposed to be the same as Brougham, ie gloss. My Pagewood #2 GTS327 and my Mate's Pagewood #20 GTS both had gloss engine bays. That doesn't mean though that some cars didn't get slush black. Under the bonnet and boot should be body colour.
Stripes over the top were a delete option. The stripe and blackout treatment is supposed to be the same across all HK, there is a Engineering drawing for it, but it does vary slightly across assembly plants. |
