I find your version of English a little difficult to follow, but I'll try.

I do understand the bit about about your dad's medical emergency, I hope all is now well.

Also for the record, nobody called anybody a liar.

The other difficult part of following our posts is that you throw in mixed bits of info at random, such as:
"Go ask who-ever put the XU2 Toranas together where the "literature" is now - sorry wrong analogy

If you didn't think things & running changes snuck through GMH - then you 1/ don't know as much as you think you know 2/ sorry you weren't mixing in the right circles of the/at the time...
I wonder how an HK Station wagon came through with a 307 & 4 speed with console & reclining buckets - factory assembled - I guess that didn't happen..."

All these are well known & documented. The XU2 pic even appears in early LH parts catalogues & the whole LH V8 (SL/R5000) story is well known.

Running changes always have & always will occur in production & are printed in any number of bulletins, thru sales, service or spare parts departments. Some better recorded than others.

There was a story in a 1968 Modern Motor magazine which featured a fully-optioned HK Premier 307/Saginaw wagon, with buckets, a/con, p/steer, p/windows etc. etc. They actually ordered the car & followed its progress thru the production line before road testing it. They also did several follow-up articles on the car. I know of several other similarly optioned HK/T/G wagons, not commonplace but they are out there.

What any of this has to do with cams & carbies on early 308s is beyond me but OK. I'll listen.

Hand written additions to parts books are only as reliable as the source at the time, these also may have been a uniquely NZ-sourced thing. When I find hand-written additions to parts books, I always like to find further/later printed versions to back them up.

Do you have any of these early part numbers for us to share ? The part number of the GS Buick Q-Jet off the HT, would be a nice start.

Our forum here is unlike many others, where flaming & childish behaviour is often encouraged. Here, we share ideas & carry out conversion in a sensible civilised fashion. There is always room for new ideas, no one person can possibly be an expert on everything. By all means share your info, it can only be of benefit to all of us.
Your quote: "This reminds me of these audiophile forums harping on & flaming others over their Tube Amps etc..." This does not represent our forum.

The Bex might help, but the lye would do you a mischief.
