You can get reproduction bracket on ebay but it doesn't include the strut support bar/brace though I have one I could measure and take some pics of. Wouldn't be hard to make.
Someone correct me if I am wrong but you can still get the Saginaw power steering pumps new, which were fitted to Chevys, can't remember which model.
From memory they were the same as those used on Aussie Holden of the same period. Try a Chevy parts supplier for the pump or ebay.

Thanks I did see them but from all the research I did they looked to be a longer flat bar deal that comes off the driver side

The ebay repro 6 cylinder pump bracket looks identical to an original HT/G one I have. I have a Holden V8 bracket which might be the flat one you might be refering to. The V8 uses spaces to get the pulley alignment where as the 6 Cylinder bracket has the bend to get the pulley alignment.
Both the 6 cylinder and Holden V8 bracket and pump are on the drivers side, top. From memory only those fitted with the Chev engine had the pump on the passenger side, under the alternator.
Hope this helps.

I have the bracket now i just need the pump, are they the same as v8 holden, or different for a six, considering the different crank pulley sizes between the two?

The 6 and Holden V8 pulleys look the same size though from memory the chev pump pulley may off been different diameter . With the the 6 cyl pump bracket you have , did you get both parts? You need the strut bracket also, otherwise the pump will vibrate badly. I can take pics of a pump and bracket and strut brace/bracket or I could drag out an old ratty complete V8 and 6 Cyl power steer system and take pics. I can't for the life of me work out how to put pics up on here. I could send pics to your mobile or email pics to you when this rain stops.
