I checked out a sample of Parchment vinyl the other day and noticed its different to the original stuff.
It wont match my seats or door trims at all, Australian made parchment is far more creamy than original.

I've got a small sample of Parchment from the US supplied by SMS Auto Fabrics and its exactly the correct shade.

I'm not sure what the grain is called though, is it called Madrid?
Hopefully someone here knows the grain.

GM used Madrid vinyl for many years in the USA.
Have you looked at any American GM cars from the 60s to confirm the
match?

Yeah thats why I'm thinking Madrid is the correct grain.
I've ordered a free sample of their Parchment, it looks correct but I'll wait for the sample to arrive.

You have to be careful on vinyls, Belmont spec doesn't have the same colouring as Kingswood up. In some cases they used a different trim code like 19V black vs 18V slate black. In other cases they are same code with different suffix eg 10A/B (Belmont) vs 10E (Kingswood/Monaro). What i'm getting at is what you found may not be 18 vinyl for 18Y. It may be 18 off 18A Pampas Fawn or 18 off 18E Pampas & Prarie Fawn or 18 off 18M Blode Ivory & Bavere Fawn etc.
