Can anyone steer me in the direction of anyone in Melbourne who is able to do a full check of a VK injected 202 system. Every now and then it will lose power like it is only getting half fuel, and then after 15 min it will be ok again.
I have gotten a new "reco" ECU, which has been checked for dry solders etc. The injectors have been checked and sonic cleaned. There are also several senders and sensors, and I need someone who can properly investigate all of those components. As the problem is till there. |

The best method of diagnosis on an older system like this one, is to attach a fuel pressure gauge to the fuel rail & drive the car until the fault occurs, while monitoring the gauge.
These old Bosch LE systems are very basic & only control the pump & injectors. If the fuel pressure behaves correctly look at the temp sensor & air flow voltage outputs, there is nothing else in the system except a wiring harness,
Don't forget to look elsewhere (ignition etc.).

If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |

check the fuel filters there may be 2, the hard metal one under the floor and one near the fuel tank or in the engine bay, this type of behaviour is typical of a filter being clogged or maybe even with a drop of water in it. if it has water there is no cure you have to replace it, the same if it is clogged. probably the only way to check them is replace them.

I'm with John as a first pass, but i'd also suspect either the fuel pressure reg and the mechanical flap type air flow meter |
