The red 6 cylinder 202 in my old holden is getting rather tired,so I need to take action soon.It has had numerous rebuilds over the years including a couple when it was bored out to 208 cubic inches. The cylinders are now at their limits of tolerance. Should I now look at getting a younger 202 or have this cylinder block resleeved?Is resleeving of these blocks successful or are they doomed to failure?I'm looking for mild to moderate street performance.Is resleeving expensive? I would get a newer fresher 202 block, virgin or .020 bore. Then bore it out .040 to 206 for longest life. .060 to 208 for an extra 2 cubic inches. Cheaper than resleeving. I think it is about $120 a bore, so that would make the sleeving $720 alone |

Peter I reckon your $120 per sleeve is spot on. I saw a quote for the same thing on a 161 last week for the same price.
