hi guys so i bought this head just wondering if any one knows anything about it i was told it was yella terra head but not sure it has all the signs sleeved head bolts dble valve springs also has monster valves does any one know what it is cast no is 2811930 from what i can gather its a xu1 head any one know if this is correct has also been reco i cant c any nos stamped at back of head it is also stamped L low comp

That casting number identifies a standard 202 head from an HQ, HJ, LJ, LH or very early LX (pre-ADR27A).
The L is cast into the regular, large chamber head fitted to 179/186/202 engines.

Could it not also, with small spark plugs and adjustable rockers, be a late HG 186 head, or an LC low compression 2250 or 2850 head? I thought XU1 was normally, with some variations, 2817134.

thanks doc so does that mean its not yt head also what would u say the value of it is i had a lc that ran 12s this head has alot bigger valves than that one keep in mind its also just been reco

u know what gm i think it does have small spark plugs the rocker studs are screw in but are not there curiosity here guys what rocker studs should i put in it

YT head is just any head that has been modified by them. Most valves have YT on them and are flat on the base of the head. You look at the intake port and you will see the whole casting has been cut out and replaced with a tube on red 6 cyl.
