G'day guys just seein if you could help me out with ideas. Basically I'm studying mechanical engineering and I have to pick an engineering project, any time frame, whether it be 10,000 years ago, or completed yesterday. I was thinking of doing something car related (whether it be the building of a new model like the VE or a component such as a state of the art engine).

Now the project entails the MANAGEMENT of the project, not how it was built. Take the new VE Commodore for example, I don't wanna know why they built the body out of a certain material. But rather, how the project was managed; how the money was spent, was the money used wisely and within budgets? Were deadlines met? Was the project a success and why or why not.

In essence, was the project successful and how sucessful or unsucessful was it and I need something with alot of info!

Thanks in advance, if any more clarification is needed just ask.

Didn't Marque Publishing (or someone similar) do a book on the lead up to production of the VN Commodore? It may be worth having a look for that book, having a read (the local library should have a copy) and then decide if there is enough info' to use in

"Project VN" it was called.

There's also a magazine size booklet done (internally) on the VT, but I doubt a library would have it.

Cheers,

Mick

If you want to go a little bit contraversial, try something like the Sydney tunnel fiasco... the construction was in the public eye, so you'll heaps of information about the budget, timeframe, etc. And of course closing nearby roads to try to speed up d
