Hi I got an xc its a daily run about, paint is in very good nick but i wanna cut the springs just to dump it on its ass, could anyone tell me if its a good idea will i cause any damage, handling isnt an issue but how bad will it handle? will it still be drivable? thanks guys

If handling isnt an issue well it bloody well should be!
Cutting a coil from a spring and putting lowering blocks in the back is pretty standard fare. You will need a set of spring compressors to take the coils out. Handling will improve.

Cutting springs is bad news! Get a set of aftermarket springs. they're not that expensive and you're less likely encounter legal dramas if you stay within the requirements for your state.

its already lowered a bit its got springs on the front and blocks on the back dont know the measurments is there a way i cold get the thing lowered any more with this set up? i have my standard springs at home so if i cut my springs and get pulled up i ca

Cutting springs BAD!!! Im not going to go though the whole rave on why, just to say, BAD, dont do! K-MACK in sydney will custom roll you a set of springs to any height and ship them to you anywhere for about $150 last time I checked, You just cant beat t

It's ok to cutr front springs.. you can even do it in place. jis dont cut them with a gas axe.. use an angle grinder. Cutting about 1.75 or 2.75 coils out(not sure, long time ago) should give you the drop yor lookin' for with 3" lowering blocks in t

If you want to drop it on its arse,cut the front springs and the rear if you want to go lower seperate the rear lower leaf spring and flip it upside downand do it back up but becareful because of the tension on that spring it should the lower the car by a

give King Springs a ring or check out their web site. WWW.kingsprings.com.au King makes front and rear springs for the falcons in different heights and spring thickness. King is based on the Gold Coast and has been making springs up here since A

To cut springs is ILLEGAL FULL STOP! I would'nt recommend it for your sake and others.
