Hi all,

I am currently running a points distributor and are looking to move to an electronic style distributor. First thoughts jump to a HEI style dist.

Can those of you with experience with HEI dist share your thoughts? I personally can't see any down side to changing over, however as the car is daily driven i don't want to put it off the road becuase the dist is always playing up.

Cheers

There isn't any issues. You won't regret doing it. Especially when you have to start it cold in the mornings.

Mine originally had the large cap with the big spac

A Bosch electronic is very reliable. It has a magnetic pick up that goes in place of the points and a vaned rotor to trigger it. Module is in an aluminuim case same a V8 Commodore.
