I have seen a 1976 ZH Fairlane 500 for sale. It has a 351 and is in immaculate condition inside and out. I was going to offer $4,000 (asking $4,800). Do you think this is a good price? Only thing I could fault is that it has a flat spot when accelerating. Is this a big problem? I have been told it is a matter of adjustment only??

Thanks in advance for your responses.

It would want to be pretty neat for that money. The flat spot is the accelerator pump not working, It has a Thermoquad right?(Big BLACK plastic middle bit)

The car is absolutely like new inside, and the body is straight, good paint, no rust...looks like a good buy.

With regards to the flat spot...can this be fixed or would it need a new part? How much could that cost?

Thanks

Im not sure how to fix it, i think there is a leather washer that dries out, but im not too sure. Someone on here will know. My thermoquad used to do it but i took it off about 10 years ago and fitted straight gas.
