Ok, heres the reason, its there. I've got an XF sedan in my backyard which I removed the engine from for another project. The car has been resprayed and is a giah, with a set of mags, lowered, disc's allround, it looks quite neat with no rust at al. I've been told I have to weld in an XD/E floor pan to get it registered with a V8 in it. What do I have to do to get it rego'd with a V8 and are there ways around it?

I looked at putting in a cleveland into an XF a couple of years ago.
In Victoria you can do it only if the XF is an 85 model, as I was told by an engineer, if it was an 86 model you couldn't do it. This is due to the fact that all 86 vehicles had to run

I don't know where you are but I'm in queensland and up here there would be no problem with installing a 351c into a xf....The floorpans are thew same in the XD/XE/XF so I don't understand that side of things......I am putting a 351c into and EA falcon.
