Don't worry. After extensive searching I read about the Courtesy lamp fuse being on the same circuit as the smartlock. This i have replaced and away we go, first pop. WOO HOO.

A 2nd hand engine has gone into our EL. Now it simply won't start. It wioll turn over but there appears to be no spark. After testing everything we can think of we can only assume it is the smart lock. Do you know how to reset it?? Thanks

There are a few different options for entering the learning mode of your cars, either the demister or the boot release. suggest talking to your local Mister Mint guys. They have the know how and sell the smart locks too. Happy motoring

Does your interior light still work? I ask because the Smartlock runs from the same fuse and if that fuse is blown the car won't go.
Otherwise leave the ignition in the on position for an hour or so and try to start the car.

Cheapest easiest and most permanent way out of it is to get a Smartlock bypass module from these guys http://www.shiftkits.com.au/ and then buy a superior aftermarket immobiliser. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
