Hey all, just wondering if there are any steering improvements that can be made to a stock HQ steering sysyem, its a 72 and already has a power steering box.
The reason i ask is because there is a bit of play in the steering wheel, say and inch either way, which makes the car a little unsafe to drive not to mention being annoying. So any method to either fix this or upgrade the whole solution will be greatly appreciated!

Thanx in advance everyone!!

I'd be starting at the wheels and working back, that is check the wheel bearings, tie rod ends and steering gear (idler arm etc), steering box adjustment, and finally the rubber coupling between the steering arm from the column and the steering box. Chec

After inspection it seems that its probably the power steering box, some mechanic freinds of mine are going to help me adjust it, well see if that solves the problem.

Cheers for the reply Peter!!
