does anyone know why the pollution valleycover wont fit old style heads on a 253

Any Red pollution valley cover will fit OK. Blue will not.


I'm running a VB commodore intake manifodl on a HQ 253 no problem. You will need to blank off the pollution (EGR) hole wit h aplate oyu can get at most auto stores.

I have hz 253 i am putting yellow terra heads on but they are non pollution and I didnt know if if the exhaust port caused any problems.
I guess the choke heater holes wont hurt .
do you know anything about cam timing with variable gears.
