hi all, just finished putting a 320 holey on my eh, and the thing doesn't idle too smoothly. I also have a smelly/fumey exhaust and adjusting the idle screws doesn't seem to help. What else should i look at? i had a strong exhaust fume from my previous stromberg too. could this point to something else?
The car goes well and is reliable, just doesnt idle and is stinky. i have looked at vacuum loss and exhaust leaks but I dunno now?

Any help appreciated.

JUST A SILLY QUESTION, HAVE YOU ADJUSTED THE MIXTURE? OBVIOUSLY SOUNDS LIKE ITS RUNNING WAY TO RICH, SET THE MIXTUR AND IF ALL ELSE FAILS CHECK THE JET SIZES.
