You can only ajust the choke or the secondary spring setting for the top butterflys. Which one are you refering to?

excuse my inexperience, im not sure but all i can tell u is that the vehicle is running very rich, like the auto choke is still on

Howdy,
If it has started running very rich without anybody playing around with the carby then open it up and check your float. The rochesters have a plastic (nitrophenyl) float that is notorious for filling up with fuel (absorbs it through the walls

Hi Guys.
Yes, Paul E is correct, the most common cause of Q-Jets running too rich is the float. They seem to have a usable life of about 8 to 10 years.
You might as well overhaul your carby while you're replacing the float, you have partially
