I have a LX torana fitted with HQ/HZ discs and matching PBR cast iron calipers.
The calipers hit the upper wishbone, and the previous owner tried to clearance the wishbones, but at full lock, the calipers hit, losing lock and momentarily losing brakes. (Need to be pumped)
Can anyone tell me if Girlock calipers are a bolt on replacement for the PBRs? Will they give me the clearance I need?
Is there another cost effective alternative?
Thanks, Ron

Did the previous owner make sure that the left hand side HZ brakes went to the right hand side of the Torana and vice versa?

Make sure the stub axles have the calipers at the front. If not, swap the stubs side for side. You can use LH/LX/UC or HQ-WB. It doesn't matter. The HQ-WB ones simply lower the car about 20mm. There is a bolt on solution, or you can use HZ Girlock caliper
