EVERYTHING IN BOLD HAS BEEN ADDED TO MY ORIGINAL AD.
<p>
Genuine factory HR 186S Special sedan. Factory Holden promotional car, ex-museum and show car. Very rare Cordovan with Grecian white top with grey interior. Has original GMH Guardian Maintenance Service book (GMH Holden Acacia Ridge orig owner), owners manual (mint condition) and a warranty card, all in GMH brown folder. NOS packet of Holden matches. This vehicle has many NASCO and period options, they are; Holden front camping seat (very rare lay back front seat which turns the car into a bed), powerglide transmission, over-riders (front and rear), number plate frames (front has Holden script), external sun visor (solid with centre support bracket), quarter glass water splits, door handle scratch plates (NOS very rare cross flags type), rear venetian, Holden locking fuel cap and spill tray, front and rear mud flaps (NOS), bonnet ornament, dual horns (with factory wire harness), power windscreen washer bottle (electric motor type), external grill bug screen, day night internal rear vision mirror (USA type as fitted from Acacia Ridge assy line), vanity mirror, deluxe two speed heater/demister (under dash type), gear lever lock (factory fitted to steering column), boot light, push button radio, flashing hand brake light (NOS globe), glove box light, rear parcel tray speaker cover, spare wheel cover (made from same material as vinyl roof material), original wheels with premier wheel trims. New front and rear window rubbers fitted as well as a NOS headlining fitted at the same time. Her most striking feature is a body flash kit NOS (Capri) from Autolux (comes with rear embellishment NOS kit not fitted). The vehicle also comes with original tool kit (screwdriver, pliers, spark plug/wheel nut socket and hubcap removing tool) also NOS fan belt, points and distributor cap. Jack and the original ratchet. Fully rebuilt less than 10000kms ago. The engine is a balanced 192 with a yellow terra head and standard billet 186S grind including a recoloured WW carby with factory headers. New JP pump fitted. Engine is painted in original colours with repro decals. NOSR spark plug leads fitted. The vehicle has a larger exhaust (custom made) and is slightly lowered with heavy-duty springs all round. Currently fitted with 3.08 open ratio diff centre for highway cruising. These improvements are not really noticeable but make the car more pleasurable to drive. This car attracts a lot of attention and turns heads wherever she goes. This is a regrettable sale and it will be a sad day when she leaves. Please, only genuine enquires and only true Holden enthusiasts apply. The car is garaged in Hobart, Tasmania. Iam only asking $8500.00. Please ring 0417 506870 or 03 62720035 or email me direct at [email protected]

NOS NASCO plastic protective seat covers (front and rear set not fitted), NOS set of fluted wheel spats (not fitted) and painted Grecian white, several meters of NOS seat material (ribbed), some original seat material for spare, some NOS badges, NOS auto flex plate, NOS gearbox gasket rebuild kit, NOS transmission flex lines, NOS brake pedal pad, front under dash parcel tray, driver side weather shield, original 3.55 ratio diff centre that comes with a LSD centre, genuine AC 13 pound radiator cap and a very rare and impossible to find a NASCO tow rope. Radiator coolant changed as well using only Castrol products. Had a front wheel alignment and balance. This was always done every 12 Months.
<p>
The vehicle also comes with some magazines featuring 186S cars and some original Service Bulletins featuring 186S options. I have also collected about 60 odd pages of general articles, service bulletins, accelerator write-ups and just about anything to do with 186S optional cars (this will be a copy of everything I have on these cars).
<p>
Vehicle is currently has Special Interested registration. SI - 1586

Goodness! That sounds like quite a car, Steve. Apart from the engine, it seems like a very original unit and $8500 sounds reasonable.

There may be something fishy going on here. My email to the address listed bounced, the land line number is not for anyone selling a HR and the mobile number listed belongs to the Australian Government.
