what is the power limiters are people reaching with the vn/vp 5L. Cause i've heard the bunch-o-banannas manifold starts to pack it in at about 220kW due to it's inability to breath enough over 4000rpm. but is that at the motor or wheels? can forced induction or nitrous push that further? cause i'm unsure whether to build the engine up slowly till i get the that limit then change the manifold or to change the manifold to something like C.O.M.E's ttb version then just slowly improve the engine without a limit worry. however then the ignition, computer any fuel system would be starting to pack it in!! any thoughts cause i'd like to get a 1500kg hz s/wagon down the 1/4 in the 12's. thanks.

with extensive mods to the manifold, COME racing were able to get 400hp (all figures are at the flywheel) at 4500rpm

when the switched to their own manifold the same engine produced 500hp using a considerably less amout of fuel.

note, this was

i realised that! but my point was is there a way to push to limit of the manifold at all by nitrous or forced induction and whether i would be better to start with a good manifold or wait till i NEED a better manifold?
