Hi Guys


Could someone please tell the difference between non RTS (HQ-HX) and RTS cars (HZ-WB) is it just the steering setup or is it the whole chassis?

It's a whole number of things, including the chassis I'm afraid. The location of the front shocks give the RTS away, the shockie comes through right in the centre of the wishbone mounts, whereas in non RTS the shockie pokes through towards the rear of th

You can bolt an RTS front chassis into a non RTS car (or swap chassis if it is a commercial). You would then have to do some work to the rear suspension to get it to match the front, but it can give you 95% of the RTS improvements.

thanks for the replies, is it worth it? I need to change my rails over and have a HZ just sitting here, what value would i lose in having HZ rails?

If it is a Monaro, try to repair the original. If it is crashed and you are fitting replacement rails, HZ rails will give you HEAPS better handling, but you will have to register it as a HZ meaning ADR27A changes to the engine. Another way is to try to fi

RTS is a complete package...springs, shocks sway bars, tyres as ell as the frame mounting differences.
Personally I'd be changing to the HZ subframe...fits straight in. The WB was the best RTS subframe of all.

Yes, I believe there are differences, I'm trying to find out the same thing myself though.
