Many thanks to Byron who provided the part number for the knock sensor patch loom (06Y111902).
The glitch is that this is an HSV loom, so you must be able to quote an appropriate VIN number along with an HSV build number to obtain the loom.
Many thanks to Rodney Walker of Motors P/L spare parts, Launceston for providing the "rest" of the info.....don't think I've ever encountered a more helpful or enthusiastic Spare Parts Guru than Rodney!!!
Fortunately as I have an HSV vehicle, I can obtain the loom through HSV.
On another note... We have a 5 speed Getrag gearbox (clutch included) for sale out of a VS V6 ute.
Not sure what the price is, but for anyone interested, a clutch pressure plate for one of these boxes is around $1800 new!!!!
I pulled the gearbox off the motor today, and the clutch is a pretty heavy duty affair. Tail shaft goes with gearbox sale as these are a completely different fitment to the usual 5 speed boxes.

Does that mean, with no HSV VIN or build number we arent eligible for a knock sensor patch?

Are you in Sydney Ed74mnd?
If so, I can supply you with the VIN & build numbers off my VS which was HSV enhanced with the 185i motor (which includes the knock sensor & harness) so you can buy one from holden.

Better yet, I just rang Motors, they said the same thing. Need a VIN. I said that was bullshit, its only a harness. They then asked what car I had and what it was going in. HZ Kingswood with 5L and VS Injection. They went all silent and then got all

yeah it was classic. The silence after they heard what kind of car was amazing, I swear you could here the cogs grinding around at warp factor in their skulls :)
