Hi all,

I want to replace a brass fitting on my inlet manifold (308 V8 red motor - it's the vacuum fitting on manifold for the brake booster) with a nylon fitting. Will this be OK? Will it resist the heat and engine bay environment? All replies appreciated.

Cheers,

Paul E

P.S. Reason for this is that the brass fitting is so close (2mm) to the dizzy cap (large HEI style) that you get sparking/arcing between the dizzy cap and the brass fitting (i.e earth). And yes, I have checked all leads etc for excess resistance and I am sure that it is due to me powerful custom CDI setup.
