I have a 2000 Astra and have just had the brake discs replaced at 55,000 kms. Is this normal? I was told that they usually need replacing at around 30,000 kms. I don't know of anyone else ever having to have discs replaced, let alone in a 4 year old car. Any info?

Do them yourself and save a heap of money, as you'll be changing them often
