G'day guys just after some advise on a Red 186 I just saw in the local wreckers. The donk comes complete with twin barrel carby, extraction, yella terra,Chrome Rocca, it has the mod for the acc cable into carby instead of mechanical already fitted, and a few other odds, it is out of a Hg station wagon apparently standard i was told. Need to know if $350 is a good price for this donk concidering it does have what i need but i can't start or test to see if it's ok. Advise need guys...cheers.

Seems like an ok price, it will be a gamble, but these things usually are.

At least drop the sump and bearing caps and check the bottom end. For that money you are entitled to that.

Most wreckers have a warranty on driveline components, however they usually require the motor to be installed by them, or by a licensed mechanic. Have a talk to them about their warranty? If it's a good motor the price seems OK.
