What is required to run a VP11 V6 without power steering and air conditioning. I have worked out a way to do it, providing I can find a suitable length belt. I get the feeling though that, seeing so many of these engines have been used in other applications, there might be a common way to do it and any necessary parts readily available.
Another question, does anyone make an adapter for a remote mounted oil filter?
Thanks Greg

You can buy belts for V6 without air cond, but not sure about power steer. We have a VG ute V6 without air at the moment. Perhaps you could just run a pulley where the power steering normally goes.

V6 conversions in sydney have a simple pulley that bolts on in place of power steering. Also you can get a shorter belt from any holden dealer that will suit this set up as in the first VN's air-con was an option.

Use a non-air belt and leave the power steer pump in place. Just remove the hoses, block the openings and remove the vanes from inside so it doesn't pump and fill it with light engine oil.
