is the wb stud patten, the same as a hq?

HQ to WB is the same as the Chev patten. i.e five studs on a 4 3/4 inch circle.
Don't make the mistake of thinking it is also the same as a Commodore. They look the same but the Commodore is metric with a 120 mm circle. There is only about .7 mm

No Mate, I had a set off a HQ and we tried to put them on a WB and they won't fit.

HQ through to WB will fit. I can guarantee it. Not sure why yours wouldn't Owen, but maybe you weren't holding your tongue right ;)

I think some of the later WBs came out with the Commodore pattern so be careful.

HQ to WB I can asure you the WB we tried to fit the rims on would'nt go. I now think the lady who's WB it was didn't know she had say a commordore front and rear end in it.
