Hello Guys, I'm in the process of installing a 253 V8 into my HQ Belmont Ute, Where can I purchase say a premier V8 wireing loom from the fire wall to the lights,I'm in QLD.Maybe rarespares or americian spares. Hope someone can advise. Cheerio Owen.

I don't think they are that much different, they run the same ignition setup and alternator etc.

Kept the harness on the Q when the 350 replaced the 202.From memory,I lengthened the temp sender wire,shortened the oil pres sender wire ( you may have to lengthen that one for 253/308) For the alt, I went to an internal regulator, and only had to lenghte

I can't see why you need to change the loom, unless your original is damaged. I've gone from a 202 with trimatic in an HQ, to a 308 with 5 speed supra box, and the wiring needed very little alterations....only lengths altered on a couple of things, and o

I bought the project using three different utes but don't have a wiring loom and would perfer to use a new one. Olease advise on where to purchase or are you just making chit chat.

Thanks for the advise but I don't have one I need to buy one and I perfer new as I totally rebuilt the whole ute. Thanks Owen.

Try Castle Auto Electrics (in Castlemaine near the Rod Shop I think) or V6 Conversions in NSW. All 3 have websites.

Thanks tried all 3 no go they all want to sell me a whole complete unit $800.00 I will scoure the wreckers for a good one and do that up. Thanks
