Hello all,
i just bought a LH TORANA 2850 AUTO ON LPG for my daughter.The motor will eventually need doing up or replacing.What red motors will fit straight in with no mods.Are there any traps in a diferent Red engine..Thanks from Rob

any will go straight in. they are all basily the same.


if it isnt from a torana you will need to use your current sump and pickup.


if it is a blue motor you will need to use a blue motor intake manifold and get a set of extractors to suit a bl

As Dylan says, all red, blue and black motors are a bolt in fit. Only the sump will have to be changed. Blue/black have a bigger clutch but yours is an auto so this won't affect you. The only problem with a later engine is you may have to fit all the ADR2

Forgot to mention that you won't need to change the sump if the engine you get is already in a HQ,HJ,HX,HZ,WB,LC,LJ,LH,LX or UC. I can't remember what the Bedford sumps look like. The LC/LJ sump is slightly different but will still fit in an LH-UC. As the
