Hi guys would like to know which box on a 3.8 V6 would be best suited for the FJ,manual or automatic and if manual which one is recommended, would that depend on what i have to put on the rear end,do i put on what goes with to V6, VN or VP Series

Ron,the choice is yours, do you prefer auto or manual?? I have just about finished building a FJ with v6 and th700[auto]both out of VS with VP SS lsd rear.Try and use motor,trans and computor from the same vehicle as it makes things a lot easier.

Go with what's on the engine atm, as Allen has suggested.
You cannot just swap transmissions on these engines with later/earlier ones unless you also change computer/wiring looms.
EG: 2HDD is okay to update (only) to 4HDD. 5HDD will not swap with any ot

yea i agree, just go with whats already on the motor, i have just finished fitting V6 and auto to my FX, fits in real neat, managed to still run the air con comp on its original mount, and only had to raise the trans hump on the floor by about an inch and
