Have found three complete 253s on grandpa's property, 1 whole and 2 in bits. Engine numbers are, QR88937, QR694894 and QR 555640. Just wondering if there is anything special about them?
Also came across an almost complete ek holden special station wagon. The body is in fairly poor condition but all of the crome trim and badges are their. Drivers front guard has been pushed in but the badge still has 1 out of 3 pins. It still has the original grey motor in it, condition unknown, do know it has water in sump. Those 253s are just run of the mill numbers, the smaller number is the earlier build and thwe higher number the later build.

Yes Chris the two earlier model engines are for sale. They are both sitting at Katherine in the NT. The price I'm asking is $150 for the both, with all parts that I can find. If you are still interested and can work out freight costs, please feel free to
