On My EK wagon I have a Hr front end no probs, the rear however I'm told nedds to be changed.Without changing the diff what backing plates would I need that accept the right size cylinder?

as far as i am aware, you only need to change the wheel cylinders and brake shoes, you need to run the smaller bore cylinders from a HR to match the disk front end. EH drum brake shoes can be modified to fit, so i assume that ek ones would be the same.

I have since found out that the mounting of the cylinders onto the backing plates is different on the EKs and the HRs so I can not change them.

Hi Guts.
Unfortunately you have to change the rear end.
The backing plates won't take the later cylinders & the diff housing won't take the later backing plates.
You can use an EJ/EH rear end, these will take the smaller cylinders &a

Could you go to a brake specialist that does re sleeving & get the EK rear wheel cylinders sleeved to a smaller bore?
