Hi All,
Sad day, the van has to be sold. Need something with a little more room for friends/family to enjoy. Image at
http://www.crystaldynamics.com.au/van.jpgCurrently the van has a fresh mild 308 in it (1,000kms so far), but I am deciding wether or not I will be leaving the engine in, or perhaps swapping it out into my new car and puting in the old 308. This will depend on what sort of price I am offered on the van, as I have put alot of money into her mechanics, engine, lowering, accessories, etc.
Body wise the van is straight as an arrow, with the exception of the front bar which was slighty bent by the previous owner on the passanger side of the vehicle and one run of the front grill (plastic) was snapped aswell. Rust is minimal, with a slight patch on the passenger door. The top tailgate is completely rusted out from the inside, at present it is not extremely visible, but it would need to be replaced. The van had a respray a year before I purchased it (3 years ago) and paint is in great condition right through the engine bay aswell. The decals were stripped for the respray (originally a white/blue stripe sandman), and I have never had the money to get a new set for the van.
As per compliance plates and tyre placard the van has been identified as a brisbane sandman by a few friends and enthusiasts around the car clubs, but as with alot of sandmans identification is a rough task so buyer is more than welcome to do their own homework to doublecheck.
If anyone is interested or after more photos/information, please do not hesitate to email me regarding and I will get back to you asap with details. micwalsh AT bigpond DOT com DOT au
