I have a 308 with Holley 600 vac sec and performer manifold in an old HQ. When i floor the car, no matter in what gear, a cloud of what i think is unburnt fuel is let loose. It used to ping when this happened, but since i put some carby cleaner down the carby, this pinging has completely stopped, but the clouds are still coming out.
Does this mean that the carby is running too rich, the sparks need replacing, or timing adjusting? Anyone have any ideas.
Cheers in advance guys and girls!
