I am thinking of putting a whole new exhaust system on my HX 1Tonner as the old one is beyond help and rego is coming up soon, so I need some advice about extractors and such, namely is it better to go with a dual system or is a single 2" system (which it has now) sufficient , taking into account that the engine and carby are pretty much standard, and I'm not a poser so I'm not after sound or looks they are of no consequence , I`m just after performance and fuel economy.

Power and economy is wht we are all after ! :-) My personal choice has been a good set of extractors, like pacemaker. a 2.5 inch exaust and a glass straight through muffler on a single system. A duel system means a longer pipe for 3 of the 6 cylinders to

A set of extractors and a 2.25 inch single exhaust. Dual exhaust on a Holden 6 sounds like a sick chook. You'll have to have the carby tuned to suit the new exhaust. If you want good power and economy, use GMH's Engineering - they spent lots of $ coming u
