i am putting a new cd player into my car and on the connection in the back of the old one the wires are from 1-14. can ne one tell me what numbers go with which wires. eg (power, battery, left and right speakers) etc.

What model - F, E, H series ??

(1) speakers. Does it have them now ? If so look at the colour on the speaker cables. (2) get a multimeter, or make up a 12V test lamp. (3) for the +12V its usually red. the volts will be there all the time. (4) for ACC t

I never bother with numbers, it is the colours that matter.

There should be a red wire that will connect to a positive, on old cars you could connect this to the radio fuse or the horn fuse if you want your friends to access the radio when the key is

On some older systems you will find one green wire, one grey wire and a black wire for the speakers.

The black wire is to be connected to the negative of both left and right speaker wires.
