The XA superbirds were a coupe optioned similar to an S pack. They came in shocking colours and rusted out not long after being released. From memory they also had a type of stripe down the side of them and ran 302 clevelands.

Some also had a large bird ( Falcon ) transfer down the side of the car but most had a smaller version of the transfer on the flanks. Basic falcon interior done in white with GT dash. 2 tone colour scheme like the GTs but as Bracks said not some of the be

The original superbirds had a bird on the rear flanks and a stripe down the side that started at the front door and went to about 20-25cm before the bird. The colour schemes were as follows : Yellow fire- with black or walnut brown trimmings, a lime gree

I'm in Adelaide and I saw a Superbird on the road the other day.
Nearly did my neck in trying to take a look.
I honestly don't remember the colour.
I'm a big fan of Ford coupes (owning two XB coupes) and I love seeing them on the road.
I can't

Purple was not a Superbird colour. The third colour scheme was white with blue highlights.Interiors were either white or black vinyl. In addition to the large bird stickers on the quarter panels there was a smaller one on the glovebox lid. They came with

Wouldnt it be great to witness a GT Coupe race!!?? ....Shame they dont do that anymore, although it would be a bit risky, sacing a car that parts are hard to find!

XA Superbirds didn't come with side stripes. The grille was blacked out similar to the GT but didn't have the driving lights. They came standard with the factory fibreglass rear louvre that was screwed to the roof and was hinged so it could be lifted up t

I saw a XA superebird coupe on the road in Adelaide just this weekend.
Very rare and desirable beast.
This was an unrestored example in pretty good condition too.

I agree PaulXB351 with what you say. When you first go to build up a car the first thing you should look for is the best body you can find, with the XA it is almost impossible to find one. But if I'm looking for a XW, XY it isn't to bad. I consider mys

bracks,
I don't recall asking you to humour me on this one.
While you may be right, you just as easily may not be. Just remember that I saw the car and not you!!!
My definition of a good condition 30+ year old unrestored car may differ from your

Tell us more about the Superbird did you discuss it with the owner, get to have a good look at the interior, walk around the car, and how many miles did it have on it. Read a good comment the other day, good from a far but far from good!
