Hi, i just bought a VN Calais, and im getting a warning light flashing up saying "PRESS REMOTE" Could anyone please tell me what this is referring too. Im also having trouble with the car cutting out/stopping at random, not being able to re-start the car.. no dash lights or nothing. i think it may have something to do with the alarm system/immobiliser. has anyone else had this problem?

Sounds like the previous owner has installed a VP Calais instrument panel. When they had the remote for the central locking they integrated this warning light into the dash (as it auto-armed after about 5 minutes). The switches on the VP are slightl

Certainly sounds like someone has installed a VP instrument panel.
Try over-riding the security system by turning the over ride key on & off a few times....located in the glovebox next to the boot release button.
I sounds to me like there is a lose conn |

great, thanks for your replies! much appreciated. yeah i guess you's are right, im pretty sure it someone has installed a vp dash :/ ill have to get it looked at, but thanks for the help!!! :)
