i am needing help. my vl rb30 is getting hot. i've checked the thermostat, it works fine. i,ve flushed the cooling system and added anti freeze. also the heater has stopped blowing hot air. al the hoses are getting hot so i dont think its a circulation problem. maybe viscous fan??????

maybe i haven't bleed the cooling system properly?? is there a special way to get any air locks out??

yes u have 2 find the water bleeding nut on top of the 'eng' take it out run the 'eng' till the water cames out free and have the heater on full... then put the nut back on.

where is the bleed nut. is it by the top radiator hose, engine side. i,m not where my car is at the momont.

it will be on the 'eng' side u mite have 2nuts but one will be higher u take that one out it mite have a "do not open when hot sticker" near the nut... the nut should be on the efi intake... if not look over the 'eng' and find it...the lower nut mite be w

There are 2 bleed nuts on a VL. Bleed the one on the thermostat housing first, then the one on the top of the inlet manifold. Once you have bled both, only add coolant through the reservoir...not the radiator cap.

Is it getting hot at low (traffic) speeds or is it getting hot at highway speeds.
This will help diagnose it.

hi the car is getting hot at low speed ie 50kph. the emp starts rising and dont go down. i hav a feeling the baffle my hav come lose. i'm sure i could here something banging inside the radiator.
