Can all the workings from the front doors of a HQ Sedan be assembled in a HJ to HZ door . I know that the positioning of the small plastic triangular fill in bits would need changing and a slot would have to be cut out for the ash tray but would the rest of the gear fit .
CHANGE IS INEVITABLE , EXCEPT FROM VENDING MACHINES

I'm not entirely sure that all HQ window bits/mechanisms will fit into an HJ onwards door.
The triangular bits on the HQ doors helped align the window when it was wound up. Later model doors had improved window channeling (for want of a better word), so

They have different glass as well. The HJ door has an infill piece at the lower A pillar, the HQ has the piece at the top off the A pillar

Hi Guys.

The glass & run channels are different, but it will all fit with a bit of logical thinking.

From memory you have to use a hole saw to gain acess to the mounts for the front glass run channel.
