Could anybody help with some info, i am rebuilding a 202 and need to no torqe settings for big end and main bearings . Also want to change diff from a 3.08 to 2.7 to increase fuel econmy on highway. motor will be 40th over with extractors , elect ignition, webber carb , with four speed gearbox . will this combination be OK !!.

according to my factory HQ manual both are 20 - 26 lb. ft. and they have a note to oil threads.

Hi Guys.
That's a misprint in the HQ manual. They big ends are 20-26 ft/lbs but the mains are 60-70 ft-lbs.
The taller diffs available are 2.60 & 2.78, but the tall diff won't always give you better economy, if you engine hasn't got the torque to pu |
If at first you don't succeed, just call it Version 1.0 |
