hey, as i posted a few daqys ago, i did end up removing the shell of my 76 hx ute and i want to put it back together but the round rubbers that the body sits on between chassis and body are wrecked, just wondering where i could get replacments rubbers and bolts, might aswell do it proply hey. Is rarespares the place and or, plus how much am i looking at in dollars.

i think you will find that holden still sell the rubbers but the bolts are not available..only from wreckers that are smart enough to keep them... |

Yes, but you'll need to know the sizes or take them in to a specialist bolt supplier so they can match them up.

Very important, make sure you use the inner steel shells as well, and not just the bolts through the chassis rubbers.

It`s just a sleeve over the bolt which stops you over tensioning it and squeezing the rubber bush.You tighten the bolt until it bottoms out.This allows the rubber bush a small amount of movement.

when you buy new bolts..make sure thay are the same tensile steel...look at the heads for the amount of lines ... |

Hey guys, found this old thread. I've just bought the body mount kit for a one tonner and was wondering how the rubbers fit together?
They appear to be different to the old ones but its hard to tell because of the rust damage.

There are literally thousands of these bolts still fitted to wrecks laying around in various parts of the country so they aren't hard to come by.
I have a HQ sedan in the shed which I am striping so the bolts and spacers from that one are available if

Hey all,
Just bought the body mount kit (rarespares part BMK3) for the tonner, how do the rubbers go together?
I can see the six large ones with the sleeves and the six middle size ones go together, what way up are they supposed to be?

T-note on a tonner the large one with the sleeve sits between the frame and the cab (with the exposed sleeve facing downwards)and the middle size rubber and a washer are at the bottom.The other ones sound like the deck-back of cab mounts to me.
