Does anyone have any ideas for getting better power and economy out of circa 84 351 clevos? I know they were crippled by pollution reduction requirements. Mine is really ordinary down low unless I give it heaps of base advance which then causes pre-ignition when I start it. It's sucking LPG at 35litres per 100KM!!!! Does anyone have figures for what they normally get out of a Bronco on LPG and Petrol? Is it a matter of camshaft and advance curve changes?

extractors and a 2 n 1/2 or 3" single exhaust (a twin system is better and will always give more hp than a single but sometimes is not possible due to fuel tanks etc) will give good low down torque gains and small fuel gain.you have probably heard this ti

You wont get too much good economy on a V8 bronco,especially with lpg.LPG is good for bbq's not cars.If you want good fuel economy buy a laser.

Definately consider getting your distributor regraphed, as LPG has different requirements, ie greater rate of advance initially (up to around 2000rpm) then the rate of advance slows and total advance is less than petol. Pretty much what you are experienci
