I'm looking at buying a 73 GTS4 that was originally fitted with a brown chestnut interior that is now black.What i'm hoping someone can shed some light on is what colour would the metal area of the dash have been with this colour trim,as it is black at the moment and i'm wondering if it has been painted from brown to black or were they just all black on GTS's.Also does anyone know what colour the roof lining could have been,again was it the seat colour or were they also all black.Thanks

73 GTS had various trim colour for headlining. They werent all black. My headlining is seat colour - a light sandy tan colour - with black dash.

By "metal areas" do you mean the panel under the instrument panel? if so, they were all black, a satin to my recollection. The glovebox door and the passenger side of the dash reflected the interior colour.My '71 Prem with red trim has red in those areas

Thanks for the replies.It seems your both right as i ended up mailing Ben Stewart for a definitive answer and he too reckons that those metal dash areas i described(glove box area etc) most often reflected the seat trim colour etc as also the roof trim.So

Go with Jupiter Green and yes I know its not an original interior colour but its just beautifull. Inside and outside.
