hey all. i woundering if any one is running straight gas with carby not injected i know its cheaper but is it healthy for the engin and is there a big difference in power? i know gas has a higher octain so its burns better then fuel but i just want some advice on the pros/cons about running straight LPG on a 308 or 253.
im now looking at all options befor doing anything with my engine so i can work out whats best for me. Thanks :)

It won't hurt the engine if you fit hardened seats and quality exhaust valves, preferably stainless. 253/308 heads seem to handle LPG better than say Chev heads. I've never had any recession problems or even guide problems like I have had with Chevs. My t |

"gas research" do straight gas carby's. infact i dont know anyone one else that makes em in oz? Dual fuel will lose power due to having to restrict the airflow to create vacuum to suck the gas in. plus sacrifising timing etc to allow it run on ulp too.

distance from converter isnt as important as location ie below radiator to stop freezing and lying flat so as diaphragms have little movement under heavy accelerating braking and cornering and having a converter big enough for the job hope the info is use
