hi just wondering if any body can help . i am trying to find out which extractors are better to fit 4 into 1 or tri y.i am running a 351 clevo , edelbrock performer manifold , and 5 speed manual ( t5 ).most litriture ive found suggest 4 into 1. ( mainly american books ), while most exhaust shops tell me tri y . is this because u need to remove the motor to fit 4 into 1 , while tri y are easier to fit ?

It's a bit more complicated than that. From what I have been told 4 into one will give you more top end horsepower while the tri y's will start giving you more performance down low. Tri Y's are more for the street application where you want power straig

You definately don't need to remove the motor for 4->1's. Tri-Y's are not an all out hp component. They are more a lowend torque component. G0od for a tow car or a big heavy car. I mate runs no-name tri-y's on his 351 which makes 252rwkw. I ran Tri-y's |

if you've lowered your car more than 2" you'll have ground clearance problems with the 4-1's. my xb is lowered about 40mm at the front and my pacemaker's collectors are only 85mm from the ground. i'd go tri-y's for a street driven non drag car, after all

Hi, I'm putting an approx 200rwkW 351 into an XC ute... I don't plan to rev it past 6000rpm. Cam to suit about 2200 to 6000rpm. What extractors would be best?

G'day Paul Knowing the heads you run and how they flow gas of course you will need bigger primarys than most, or else the pipes will be the biggest restriction in the system :) I'm still waiting on the machinist to get to my parts. The more I talk to

I have just got my ceramic coated HM32 from H&M headers, they advised me that 4-1 are for 500 HP and over generally, mine are 4-2-1 good for up to 500 HP. H&M have been making headers for fords for decades now, so I take their advise.

I ran tri y extractors on my 351 clevo xc years ago, their a lot better for clearances for a lowered car & work well for an auto etc. I'm now running 4 in to 1's with the big 3in collectors, I find that the 4 into 1 work much better for me especially at t

I have spoken to H&M header guys and they told me that the HM32 tri y headers are good for up to 500 hp. Anything over 500 need 4 into 1 . I just purchased the HM32 Tri Y Ceramic coated after their advise. They should know what they are talking about as t |
