hey guys, i want to buy another body, but i'd like to keep the same body numbers. how illegal is it to cut and switch the shock tower and compliance plates? given my car is not stolen and i’m not going to sell it would it matter and who could tell?

mmmm this question just keeps coming up lol.yeah its totaly illegal.i wouldn't try and sell a car that you have changed thats all i gotta say.

Dave,
it's just not worth the potential grief. It is illegal to do it. I'm guessing your car is a GT otherwise you wouldn't be even contemplating the idea. If it is a GT if possible do whatever you can to save the existing body.

thanks for all the advice.
can you recommend a place where i can acid dip this chassis, i’d to kill all the rust i’ve got and transplant the quarters. my main rust is in the cowl and i’ve a roof to replace.
big job!

if it is a gt the club will pick a rebody easy there experts at it,so like paul said try and save it.
