Hello all.
I have a 308 5.0 Red Motor out of a Hq Statesman.(prefixed 11, genuine stato motor).
The motor was pulled out of the statesman about a month ago, The motor has not been started for 10 years. The car was originally from Dubbo, so it had lots of country driving. The guy i bought the statesman from said he parked it as a running unit, but the rust was just too bad in the car.
The motor is complete with a rochester 4 barrel carburator (no air filter), it has a distributor but the plastic cover from the top has been broken. It is mated to a trimatic auto. The motor would probably run if all the right steps were taken to flush it out and get the oil circulating, but it is upto you if you want to rebuild it. The motor has never been touched and is as stock as a rock.
Im asking $550 ono. Im in Castle Hill (Sydney). You will need your own engine crane to get it onto your ute, truck, trailer etc. Or bring a few big blokes and we can lift it :-)....
I have alot of other HQ statesman bits also, so if you need anything else let me know. I want to get rid of all this stuff.

U wouldnt have the crome insert rings for around the head lights would u mate, if so i'll come right over and get them off u, cheers

im just letting u know that statsman u have sounds like a ****box and if i had it i would spit on the windscreen and steal the v8 and drop it in a vb/sle

Im interested in the 4 barrel rochester carby, is it complete. being hq it should be pre emmission spec, let me know.

Hey Col. The carby is complete and it is pre-emission but I want to keep the whole lot together as a sale.
